About The Event
A Morning skate in Horsforth skate park. This session will offer lots of tips for folks with less experience at the skate park, so feel free to take the meet up at your own pace.
We will meet at Horsforth Hall Park Skate Park at 10:30am and will stay in the same location.
We suggest you RSVP so we can contact you for any last minute changes of plan, particularly as this is weather permitting.
You will need all your own equipment and wear everything you need to feel safe. All outdoor spaces are different!
*Skates
*Knee pads
*Wrist guards
*Small bag with shoes and water
*Sunglasses
Parking : free at both Horsforth Park Car Parks and free street parking is also available on Hall Lane.
RGG aims to create safe spaces for Roller skaters of varying experience levels, so you are welcome if you are new to skate park skating.
That said we would expect that you follow the below recommendations:
Whilst Roller Girl Gang team members who attend outdoor meetups will try and keep participants safe, all skating activities are at your own risk, as it would be if you were skating alone.
Outdoor meetups are not coaching sessions, they are social meetups and whilst RGG team members may give some skating advice, it is purely at their discretion.
Participants must ensure they are both well enough to skate and have the skills to skate in the location where the meetup is being held. (Please note that horsforth park has uneven pavements).
You do not need to participate in any activities you do not feel comfortable taking part in, If you do decide to leave the group for any reason, we would appreciate it if you ensure that someone staying in the group is aware that you are leaving, so that no one panics that you have disappeared!.
If at any point you do not feel able to skate to the required standard, we recommend you remove your skates. This action is at your discretion and you must not rely on a team member to tell you to do so.
