May Sunday Stroll
Time & Location
About The Event
What can you expect at a Sunday Stroll?
If you have never been to Left Bank Leeds, you are in for a treat. This is a beautiful events venue and community space in a converted church in the heart of Leeds 6. We are delighted to have been able to support them with some sessions last year, and have the opportunity to do so again this year. We hope you are able to join us for a session!
Roller Skate Hire
This is an open skate session, with hire skates available (£1 extra). These must be booked in advance. Only hire skates that are pre-booked will be brought to the venue. Hire skates are available in sizes Jnr 8 - UK 12. At this time, we are not able to hire our protective pads, due to risk of transmission of COVID-19.
Short Stroll - Family friendly session 4.15pm - 5.15pm
Extra Stroll - 14+ session 5.45pm - 7.45pm
Our only restriction is an age restriction. We welcome everyone to roller skate.
Please be aware that the floor in Left Bank Leeds can be uneven in places, as it is an old church. There are wooden floor areas and tiled areas. Skaters must remain on the main floor, you are not able to go up the stairs. There is also a bar serving refreshments and toilets will be open.
There is limited free parking at the Cardigan Centre next door, or lots of free parking in the streets close by. Please be considerate of local residents when you park.
Face coverings and masks are optional while you are skating. Due to the limited number of places, please only book tickets for yourself and people you live with or are part of your bubble.
On entry, there is a QR code to scan for Track and Trace purposes.
We are not able to refund tickets for any reason. Please be sure you can attend before booking. Due to Track and Trace information, tickets must not be re-sold.
Steps we have taken to be COVID-secure.
To ensure your safety whilst visiting us, we have carried out a full risk assessment of the threat. We are working with Left Bank Leeds to ensure you have a great skate in a COVID-secure environment.
Please scan the QR code so Left Bank Leeds also have your details for Track and Trace.
Use the hand gel provided on entry and exit and follow the one way arrows to move around the venue when collecting hire skates.
The number of skaters in the venue will be limited to less than 10% of the total capacity of the venue. This is to ensure there is plenty of room to maintain socially distance at all times.
Session times are 1.5 hours with 30 minutes in between to allow the venue to ventilate and for us to carry out cleaning. Please help us by removing skates promptly when we say the session has ended, returning any hire equipment for sanitising and vacating the premises.
Music levels will be reduced so skaters are able to talk to and hear each other while maintaining social distance.
Please do not arrive early for your session as you will not be granted entry.
Please leave your outdoor shoes in the seating area provided and change into skates. You are responsible for your belongings at all times.
Remember to wash your hands regularly throughout your visit, cough or sneeze into a tissue and dispose of it into a bin and report any concerns you have to a member of our marshall team.
We would also ask that in the interest of public safety and protection of others, if you feel unwell, or show any symptoms of Coronavirus (such as a cough, high temperature or a shortness of breath) please do not attend. Our staff have been instructed to refuse entry to anyone they believe to be showing symptoms, so please be understanding.
