About The Event

We will meet outside Ramgarhia Sikh Sports Centre, you can leave your car in the car park there.  The skate route will end a walkable distance from the Sikh centre, so there will probably be a number of people walking back that way

We will leave the Sikh Centre at 9:30pm

Ticket holders for FNS do not need a separate ticket to attend this event.

The route will start at the Sikh sports centre at 9.30pm.  If you are driving, cars can be left parked here while you skate or walk.  We will proceed towards The Skate Sanctuary at Mabgate Mills and skate down Mabgate.  More confident outdoor skaters may want to accompany a group who then travel further to the South Bank and skate around some of our favourite spots there.  Less experienced skaters are welcome to remain with a group along Mabgate, which is fairly flat.

This year, our rollouts and meetups are ticketed to reflect the time it takes to research, organise and run these sessions.  We have tried to keep the cost reasonable for participants but also cover the costs so that we can hopefully look to run more of these sessions in the local area in the future

Annual and Monthly Skate pass holders with an active membership get free tickets to this event. Gangster crew member get 50% off these types of sessions

RGG aims to create safe spaces for Roller skaters of varying experience levels, so you are welcome if you are new to street skating.  We usually ensure that a skater who knows the route is at the back of the street skate so that no one gets left behind.

That said we would expect that you follow the below recommendations:

Whilst Roller Girl Gang team members who attend outdoor meetups will try and keep participants safe, all skating activities are at your own risk, as it would be if you were skating alone.

Outdoor meetups are not coaching sessions, they are social meetups and whilst RGG team members may give some skating advice, it is purely at their discretion.

Participants must ensure they are both well enough to skate and have the skills to skate in the location where the meetup is being held.  (Please note that whilst we try to stick to a fairly flat route, Leeds City Centre is hilly, has uneven pavements and parts of the route may mean you need to skate in the road, or on a cycle lane).

You do not need to complete the entire route, If you do decide to leave the group for any reason, we would appreciate it if you ensure that someone staying in the group is aware that you are leaving, or that you wait until the next stop so that no one panics that you have disappeared!.

If at any point you do not feel able to skate to the required standard, we recommend you remove your skates.  This action is at your discretion and you must not rely on a team member to tell you to do so.
