Roller Skate and Protective Equipment hire Agreement & Terms and Conditions - Party Package
1. Placing an order
1.1 Before placing an order the Customer should check the availability calendar on this page

If the calendar shows the date the Customer requires is red - it is likely that there is no availability on that day and the order will be cancelled.

If the calendar shows the date as yellow, RGG already have a booking on that date, and our hire stock may be limited

If the calendar shows the date as green, the date is available
1.2 Once the order has been placed, The customer should complete the “Roller Skate Hire Equipment Check in/ out Form” in order to notify RGG of their requirements
1.3 The hirer must complete the “Roller Skate Hire Equipment Check in/ out Form” within 7 days of placing the order or within 7 days of the event start date, whichever is soonest
1.4 If the form is not completed within the time specified above, the order will be cancelled and refunded.
1.5 Roller Girl gang CIC will confirm the order (i.e. the availability of skate and the pickup/ drop off time and location within 2 working days of receiving the form.
1.6 All Party Package orders are for a hire period of 72 hours only.
2. The Hirer
2.1. The Hirer must be over the age of 18.
2.2. The Hirer is responsible for the roller skates and protective equipment hired and it is the Hirer’s responsibility to keep the items hired safe from damage, loss or theft, use it in a proper manner and not subject it to any misuse or unfair wear and tear.
2.3. The Hirer will not transfer or subcontract the roller skates and protective equipment to another party.
2.4. The roller skates and protective equipment remains the property of Roller Girl Gang CIC at all times and the Hirer shall have no right, title or interest in the roller skates and protective equipment.
2.5 The Hirer is responsible for ensuring that they have the relevant insurances and licences for usage of the hired items by themselves or their participants
2.6 The Hirer agrees that Roller Girl Gang CIC are entirely free from liability, including financial responsibility from injuries incurred, regardless of how injuries are caused whilst using the hired items.

3. Hiring and returning the roller skates and protective equipment
3.1. Pick up and returns can only be done during opening shop opening hours by prior arrangement (times available here). A late return will result in a “late fee” of £10 per pair per day.
3.2 Pick up and Drop off is available from The Roller Girl Gang Shop (Unit C7B, Concourse, Leeds Corn Exchange, Call Lane, Leeds, LS1 7BR) or Ramgarhia Sports Center (8-10 Chapeltown Rd, Leeds LS7 3AP), location to be agreed at time of booking.
3.3 Full payment of the hire fee and deposit is required at time of booking.
3.4. A refundable deposit of £50 per 10 pairs of roller skates will be taken to secure a booking. 3.5 The deposit will be refunded to the same payment method as purchase once the roller skates and protective equipment is returned, and a member of RGG staff is satisfied the roller skates and protective equipment is in the same condition as when it was lent out to the Hirer. 3.6 Depending on the skate drop off time, and available staff at the Roller Girl Gang shop, it may not be possible to process the deposit immediately. RGG will process the deposit within 2 working days of receiving the skates and equipment back into our stock.
3.7 The Hirer must return the roller skates and protective equipment in the condition it was lent out or be subject to pay for any damage. Any damage caused by neglect is the Hirer’s responsibility and will be charged for. Any damage is charged at the following rates and will be deducted from the deposit.
Lost skate(s) - pair £45 per pair
Lost protective pad (any part of a set) £10 per set
Lost toe stop £8
Damage to roller skate upper eg. Scratches, scuffs (that cannot be cleaned off) £15 per skate
Broken lace £6 per lace
Damage to wheels £5 per wheel
4. If the roller skates and protective equipment is lost or stolen
4.1. If the roller skates and protective equipment are stolen, the Hirer is responsible for reporting the incident to the Police within 24 hours, and a crime reference number must be provided by the Hirer to the RGG CIC within 24 hours via phone or email.
4.2. If the roller skates and protective equipment is lost or stolen, an excess of £45 per pair of skates and/or £10 per set of protective pads or helmet will be required to be paid.
4.3 RGG CIC strongly recommends you have suitable insurance to cover lost or stolen equipment.

5. Using the roller skates and protective equipment
5.1. When using the roller skates and protective equipment the Hirer must ensure users of the hired items skate in a responsible and safe manner.
5.2. If RGG CIC is made aware of any antisocial behaviour whilst using the roller skates and protective equipment, the roller skates and protective equipment will be recalled immediately, the roller skates and protective equipment hire terminated, and the Hirer will be excluded from hiring roller skates and protective equipment from RGG CIC in the future.
6. Cancelling the hire agreement
6.1 Cancellation of this agreement must be made in writing to skate@rollergirlgang.co.uk
6.2 A full refund of deposit and hire fee will be issued, as long as the cancellation is made before 7 days (168 hrs) of the event start date.
6.3 If 7 days notice of the cancellation cannot be made, a sliding scale will be used to determine the refunded amount due, in all cases 100% of the deposit will be refunded.
