Roll forward project logo

We are excited to announce a new project to support getting more people rolling. It is a long term goal of ours to lower the barriers to access roller skating as much as possible and thanks to a Sport England grant as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Activity Fund, we have an amazing opportunity to help

The roll forward project in Bradford has now finished.  Thank you to all our participants.

The roll forward project aims to remove barriers to roller skating for those who would otherwise not be able to afford to access the sport.

Our Sports England Funding will allow us to run taster sessions and classes in Manningham, Bradford during term time. These sessions are for women and female-identifying participants only.

Classes and taster sessions are free to access for local women.  If you are outside BD8 or its surrounding areas, we are happy for you to access the programme if there is space. We will add you to the waiting list. There will be a nominal fee of £5 if you are outside the area, and do not fit any of the qualifying criteria.  Please register for further details.

Participants who attend a specific number of classes will receive a pair of skates and protective equipment to allow them to continue skating once the project has ended.

The first sessions were held in July 2022 and a fab time was had by all - to read a bit about how it went, see Mel's blog post here

*If the session is busy you may need to wait for skates your size to become available, skate times may be reduced to allow everybody to skate
